When a customer wants to use the original steering column but opts for a rack and pinion steering with an IFS front suspension system we will more than likely have to build a bushing for the bottom of the original column to accept a universal joint to the new rack pinion system.
In addition we had to build an internal coupler bushing that would bolt to the side of the column tube and accept the brass bushing by bolting to the bottom also.
The completed unit sits ready for disassembly, detailing and final installation.
