Rear Body Pan

The rear tail pan finishes off the rear end of the car and is somewhat easy to make now that we have all the other metal around it shaped to our liking.

We start off by making the template fit our newly fabbed bumper.

Matching the template we cut out some new metal.
As seen the pan needs some curve to match. It is out 1 inch on the ends and gradually goes to flush in the center so we need to tweak it across the panel.
A little wheeling and she is starting to take shape.
Over to the power stretcher / shrinker we start in the middle and work our way out to the ends. The idea is to curve the metal gradually until it fits exactly. The shrinking die pulls it together which curves it inward bit by bit.
As seen she fits good.
Rear shot shows all the custom metal work. Very stylish.
