1. As seen the stock fenders swing up and do nothing to hide the springs and rear end of the truck. We will build a rear valance pan that incorporates itself in to the fenders while providing an exit for the tailpipes.
2. We are building the rear valance below the rear bumper to tie in the rear fenders and exit the exhaust pipes through at the same time. We mocked up in paper, e-mailed photos to the customer, received his OK and we will now build it.
3. It looks good and serves a purpose to hide the underside chassis components from view. We simply used our template paper to transfer to the steel and bent the panel on our TennSmith BOX/PAN sheet metal brake.
4. From the side angle you can see how we added a wedge to the fender to bring the valance and fender together for a smooth transition.
5. The exhaust tips will be adjusted in or out during our test drive to keep any exhaust gas turbulence from forming and compliment the looks. We will then mount them permanently.
6. At 25 foot away there is a noticeable beauty difference.
7. The back side shows some cross bracing was attached to keep it strong and support the flat metal.
