Tail Gate Lettering

Tailgates can be a very challenging part of any truck. Watch as we show how to get it done. Most older trucks had the brand name raised on the tail gate and then they switched to a recessed style like the one pictured on this 71 Chevy truck which is easier to do when block sanding to make it straight. However, when masking off to hi light the letters this style is actually harder.
We spray some base on the lettering and are ready to start unmasking.
Carefully pulling back the fine line tape exposes some edges we want to refine.
Nat touches up the edges using 2000 grit paper.
All looks good so we will clear coat the entire tail gate to keep from getting any tape lines.
Finished gate says it all.
