36 Ford Truck - Gauge

1. The original gas gauge looked to be in decent condition until !!! |

2. We flipped it over and saw the housing was completely rusted out. Time to do some searching to find another one. We can fabricate it but hopefully it is cheaper to purchase one. |

3. The bezel has holes in it also. |

4. Pretty much wasted. |

5. Jack makes James Garner in the "Rockford Files" look like an amateur when it comes to finding clues to missing parts and getting them. An NOS housing, bezel etc. |

6. He cut some plastic for a protective sleeve like the factory had. |
![]() |
7. He applied plastic adhesion promoter and a special shade of green paint was sprayed to match the factory spec. |

8. When the lamp shines through the green shade will appear over the gauge. |

9. Voila, ready for final install. |
