Body Brace

This big Ford will house a 550 hp all aluminum big block 427, so extra stiffening of the body is in order. This is the rear section of the brace located just in front of the taillight panel.
The center section of the mount that will be welded at the bottom of the gas filler shroud. It is designed and built from chromoly tubing to get the job done.
She snakes her way around the back seat and inner wheel house.
Triangular bracing attaches to the rear body mount to stabilize and reinforce during hard acceleration.
Looking down through the speaker deck we see a custom fabbed gusset that is welded to the wheel house to keep her stiff.
Around the perimeter of the battery box the structural tubing is attached to the trunk floor.
Just behind the battery box the mount is welded in solid.
Again she is welded in solid right behind the wheel house. Up against the wheel house we welded her in solid against a plate.
Now she is ready to take those hard shifts and keep the body from flexing.
