Roll Bar Mock Up
![]() |
Torino custom roll bar. We mocked up some conduit then wrapped it in tape to get an idea how it would match the bucket seats outer shape from side to side for a smooth looking bar. |

It looks pretty good from this angle to. |

One last look from the all important rear view. |

A custom roll bar that not only protects but looks good doing it. We mocked it up to start using electrical conduit to see how the bar fits in correlation to the seats. We like what we see so it is time to build. |
Roll Bar Fab Proccess

As seen the 1/4 inch stainless wire is welded at the base and gradually bent upward to give us our shape. |
![]() |
This angle shows the many wires giving it its unique shape flowing from out of the interior like a trees trunk from the ground. |
![]() |
The foundation for strength and also the ability to unbolt it for refinishing and power window track access / service. |
![]() |
The chromoly double bar is gusseted with a plate to keep it from spreading at a crucial spot entering in to the cars interior. |
![]() |
Sheet metal is laid on top of the wire frames to start the shaping process. |
![]() |
We also built the qter window panel to be the roll bars base. |
![]() |
This roll bar has multiple shapes to cover with metal. All steel no fiberglass as we wanted the bar to actually work if the car ever rolled. |
![]() |
In order to service the power window motors and be able to detail and paint the bar we chose a removable bolt in design. Louie has the brackets built and as seen it bolts to the qter panel and the floor giving it the needed strength. |
![]() |
Bottom plate is to be welded to the floor solid. |
![]() |
3 bolts attach it to the side qter panel. |
![]() |
Once all the strength issues were taken care of we started on the cosmetics. As seen we shaped the double tube chromoly bar with 1/4 inch stainless rod to give it a unique shape to flow with the body. |
![]() |
Then we covered it with sheet metal to finish it off. It is time to body work it to a final paint as it is ready for smoothing. |

Smoothed and primed. Ready to be painted when the rest of the car gets her colors. |
